For students

Your next step starts here.

Complete an internship, graduate or develop your own game. At GameLab, you work alongside other makers with expert guidance.

Make something of your own.

At GameLab, you can work on a client project or your own indie game. You have space to experiment, gather feedback and take your work further.

You will find us in the Dutch Innovation Factory in Zoetermeer. Students from other universities of applied sciences and programmes are also welcome to discuss the possibilities.

Good to know.

Can I work on my own game?

Yes, if your project qualifies. You must have at least a prototype, a realistic scope and the intention to finish and publish the game. Places are limited. Read all the conditions for indie games.

Do I need to study at The Hague University of Applied Sciences?

Students from other programmes also work at GameLab. Any internship or graduation placement must always be approved by your own institution’s placement office.

Will I work on site?

You will work at the Dutch Innovation Factory in Zoetermeer. For intensive guidance on your own indie game, we expect you to be able to work on site every day. Remote working is possible only to a limited extent.

Will I receive an internship allowance for my own indie game?

GameLab cannot pay an internship allowance when you are working on your own project. Discuss the conditions before you begin.
