GameLab attended the Bekijk Je Toekomst Festival at the Fokker Terminal in The Hague, where HAVO pupils explored their options for further study.
Pupils could follow a programme and visit an area featuring educational institutions. There they found The Hague University of Applied Sciences’ GameLab arcade, which naturally attracted attention. Milano Hoogvliets was there to explain software engineering and the Game Development Minor and graduation specialisation available at the Dutch Innovation Factory.
Several pupils demonstrated the right mindset by not only playing the games, but also finding a few bugs!
About BekijkJeToekomst
Spirit4You organises the Bekijkjetoekomst Event for pupils in the fourth year of HAVO secondary education. Its aim is to launch schools’ career guidance programme. Pupils gain greater self-awareness and inspiration to consider the different steps available after HAVO. Before and after the event, they prepare their student journey using teaching materials from Bekijkjetoekomstnu.nl.
The Bekijkjetoekomst Event offers an interactive introduction to different courses and professions, helping HAVO pupils understand further education and the labour market so they can make an informed choice about their next step.
