All our students attended the November edition of the Dutch Games Association’s networking lunch to get acquainted with the games industry.
Like previous editions, this networking lunch took place at DotSlash in Utrecht, Dutch Game Garden’s former headquarters. It was well attended, with more than 100 people and the usual mix of students, professionals and entrepreneurs, including both regular visitors and newcomers.
There were also showcases to explore and play. “Drink Up, Cowboy”, presented by BUas students, made an impression. Anyone wanting to play together can visit gametje.com for relaxed group gaming. Thomas Mazurel showed some of his 3D prints. He produces detailed, high-quality game figurines and is also responsible for printing the Dutch Game Awards.
For students, it was an enjoyable, accessible introduction to the Dutch games industry.
The DGA is skipping December’s edition because Dutch Game Week is taking place in Breda, including the Dutch Game Awards.
