The networking lunch at Dutch Game Garden is often considered the heartbeat of the Dutch games industry. On the first Wednesday of every month, game makers gather in Utrecht to network and admire one another’s games.
With Dutch Game Garden closing in 2025, this edition was particularly well attended. The question I heard most often was whether the traditional lunch could continue afterwards. Fortunately, I can confirm that it will. The Dutch Games Association will continue the networking lunch with several willing partners, at the same time and in the same place.
For students at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and GameLab, it is an ideal opportunity to get to know the industry and make contacts. That alone makes it good news that this tradition will continue after Dutch Game Garden closes its doors.
