Looking for an internship or graduation assignment in higher professional education? GameLab has several interesting projects after the summer. Here is the current list.

  1. TrustPort
We are developing TrustPort with the Cyber Security Living Lab, led by Professor of Applied Sciences Peter Roelofsma. It is a cyber awareness game for the port, preparing port staff for a wartime situation. The game is strategic. Preparatory work, including a proof of concept, has already been completed, and information is currently being gathered about the underlying security competencies needed in the game. The technology will probably be Godot, although this remains to be decided.

  2. Healthcare escape room
In collaboration with MBO Rijnland’s Experimenteerhuis, we are creating a healthcare escape room. This will be a hybrid game, combining a digital game with physical spaces and objects. The aim is to teach healthcare technology to vocational students studying elderly care. The technology has not yet been chosen. Scenarios are currently being collected and puzzles created for integration into the final product.

  3. Bidirectional charging simulation game
For the Municipality of Zoetermeer, we plan to work on a game about bidirectional charging and its impact on the city’s overall energy supply. The electricity grid is under increasing pressure. Innovative solutions are needed, but what impact do they have? This game aims to make that clear. The technology has not yet been chosen, and the project is still in the commissioning phase.

In addition to these projects, you can propose your own indie game project. If approved, you may work on it during your internship or graduation project under GameLab’s supervision. Read the conditions for indie games.
