The Dutch Games Association's Games Monitor for 2024 has been published. It features an important new dot on the map: game education at The Hague University of Applied Sciences in Zoetermeer.

The Games Monitor describes the state of the industry: how many people work in it, their roles, which companies are active and which games-related educational programmes the Netherlands offers.

Previously, The Hague University of Applied Sciences was not mentioned, which was a shame because policymakers and decision-makers read the report. From this edition, we are on the map, thanks to our improved visibility through GameLab activities, Game Development and, of course, DGA membership since 2024.

It is a welcome compliment to what the team has achieved and brings extra recognition to the students' work. They recently demonstrated their games again at the Expo.

The Games Monitor is also traditionally a source of information for improving education and aligning it more closely with professional practice.
