Gamification in cybersecurity: the Cyber Security Living Lab Conference

Yesterday evening, the fifth Cyber Security Living Lab conference took place at the Dutch Innovation Factory. It was an inspiring afternoon bringing education, research and practice together around today's most topical issues: IT/OT security, the future of authentication, digital identity and the impact of agentic AI.

For me, this edition was particularly special because our own GameLab was also strongly represented.

TrustPort: cybersecurity awareness in practice

None other than Maarten Yntema took to the stage on behalf of GameLab to present TrustPort, a cybersecurity awareness game we are currently developing together.

It was wonderful to see such an enthusiastic response to our vision: cybersecurity is not only a technical issue, but equally a human one. Through gamification, we make awareness tangible, interactive and effective. The positive feedback and exchanges with other experts during the conference show that this approach really strikes a chord.

Sharing the stage with leading figures

At this conference, we shared the stage with cybersecurity experts. The programme was of a high standard.

My thanks and compliments to all the speakers who contributed to this successful programme: Semih Güçlü, Nassim El Bouzidi, Rick Dortland, Dylan Versluis, Danny Noordam, Christian Everts, Max Boon, Herman De Bruine, Bart Jacobs, Peter Rietveld, Ubaid H. Hayee, Niek Jan van den Hout, Maarten Yntema, Marc V., Mark Zoetekouw and Alexandra van Steenvelt.
