As in 2024, MBO Rijnland organised a hackathon at the Dutch Innovation Factory (DIF) in Zoetermeer. It focuses on software development and is held for first-year ICT students on the software developer programme. Part of the programme: gaming in GameLab's Game Room.
Students studying in Leiden, Gouda and Zoetermeer could choose from five cases, ranging from care assistance to complex IT systems. They worked on these in groups during the week.
Between activities, students could relax in GameLab's Game Room. The mostly vintage arcade cabinets, simulator and consoles from the Nationaal Videogame Museum were enthusiastically used.
