Jeroen Derwort was the keynote speaker at the YES!Delft UNconference in the Dutch Innovation Factory. He told the story of how his start-up Gamebasics grew into a scale-up and was eventually sold to Miniclip.

The UNconference is an event specifically for scale-up founders. It attracted a diverse range of entrepreneurs, some from the YES!Delft ecosystem and others from the Dutch Innovation Community.

Although no other game studio owners attended, the Gamebasics/OSM story resonated with them: how having more people changes a company’s dynamics.

After the keynote, participants jointly set an agenda of topics to discuss, including funding, exits, hiring a CTO, AI’s impact on businesses and finding launching customers.

The inspiring afternoon ended with drinks and, of course, games at GameLab.
