Together with MBO Rijnland's Experimenteerhuis, GameLab will develop a healthcare technology escape room. The project began with a session in which stakeholders played an existing escape room for inspiration.

The escape room we played was Digihelden, which also focuses on healthcare technology. We escaped with 5 minutes left on the clock. It gave us plenty to discuss.

Over the coming year, the healthcare technology escape room project will take further shape. Different groups of university of applied sciences, vocational and secondary school students will be involved in implementing it.

The following educational partners are involved: the Technasium programmes at Melanchton Bergschenhoek and ONC Parkdreef, healthcare students at MBO Rijnland and Innovative Development students at The Hague University of Applied Sciences.

This escape room was already fun, but "our" escape room will be even better. It needs a closer connection with reality. Where Digihelden is limited to cards and short texts, we want to use real technology, giving vocational healthcare students a hands-on experience aligned with what they need to learn.

All requirements will be gathered before the summer, allowing us to begin building our escape room in September, combining physical and digital components.

We are very much looking forward to it!
