PE teachers and students at the academy for physical education want to prepare their lessons in detail to create optimal opportunities for physical activity. Two GameLab students are creating a digital twin in which a sports hall can be designed in 3D.
Project GymSim began in September. The client is the Healthy Lifestyle in a Supporting Environment research group (GLSO).
Daniël Spanjaard from the research group explains why GymSim is needed: “The current tools available to PE teachers and students are outdated and do not provide a clear understanding of the actual situation in the hall. That is why I wanted to develop a 3D tool offering a THE SIMS-like experience.”
